One thing that I'm still working in is the trunk release to work.  I have looked up different diagrams in wiring my relay but there must be something I'm doing wrong.  the diagram tells the that the wire is PURPLE / tan (-) requires relay, location at the trunk switch.  I found the wire and noticed that the wire rests at a positive voltage until the swith is pressed and then shows no voltage.  First, I tried to hook up my gray wire from the alarm module (acc #1 trunk release, neg out, 250Ma) it worked once or twice and then it stopped working.  Then I tried to use with relay using this diagram, this didn't work either.  What am I doing wrong???????? posted_image

does the trunk release still work when you push the button on the dash....or did it die completely!!?

check your fuses..

i believe it should be wired as the following
87- trunk pop wire (-)
87a- not used
30- ground
86- 12v fused at 10 amps
85- output to unit

and of its a positive output 86 and 30 are spliced together to 12v constant at 10amp

trunk release switch still works normal.  I don't think fuses would be the problem.

The wire is a negative output when the trunk release switch is pressed however the trunk release wire rests at a positive voltage.   I don't want to mess up my negative output from the alarm module, that's it's why I need to make sure what is the correct wiring for the relay.  I also read on here that I need a diode to the trunk wire if this wire rests at a positive voltage. Thanks for any input and advice.

The trunk release wire you hooked into is a high current circuit. You hooked a low current output to it. The trunk release tried pulling more current thru the trunk release circuit of the alarm than it can handle and it probably fried that circuit of the alarm after a couple of attempts. You needed to use a relay wired as follows:
86 - constant +12v
85 - trunk release output of alarm
87 - ground
30 - trunk output in car

The transistor is probably fried and would need to be replaced unless there is another aux. output on the alarm you can use instead.

when I check the grey wire(alarm output from alarm module) with an voltmeter, it shows that it still works when I press my trunk release on my alarm remote, it show a momentary -.50 output.  I wil try your relay wiring. 

What about the diode question? Is a diode necessary when the trunk release wire is a high current circuit?Or should I just hook up the relay and not worry about the diode?

No diode needed. If you do use one, it needs to be a bigger diode....like a 6 amp diode. A typical 1 amp 1n4001 diode will burn up. That being said....a diode is still not needed..
