I have a Viper 5701 LE with the 2 transmitters. I can lock the doors and walk away and the alarm will fail to respond to the remotes both my 2 way and my one way remote. The 2 way will beep instead of returning a command. It randomly will allow me to disarm the alarm even if I am standing right next to the car. Not even a week before I was able to arm and disarm from inside a 6 story glass and steel building.

Does anyone have any ideas?

if it's not responding to either remote, check your antenna!  make sure it's plugged in properly at the antenna and also at the brain!!  If it's plugged in properly then something might be wrong with your antenna!  unlikely...but possible!
