The door lock won`t open with the keys all of a sudden? I did have to replace the wiring on the floor because of the water from the snow . But the unlock and lock button works still. is there a wire that controls the keys?

There was no wire to control the key in a 94 Taurus.

No wires at the key cylinder on that car, no.

I would just guess that either the lock and/or key are getting old, or that the lock has no lubrication.

How about the doorlock on the passenger door, and on the trunk, do those work?

Do you have any spare keys? See if those work any better.

On the driver's door, try pushing the key in a little harder while turning it, or instead, try pulling it out a tiny bit while turning.

I always forget which lubricant you're supposed to use (is it graphite?), but there are lubricants available that you can put into the key cylinder hole.

You could used WD-40 with that little red tube, spray it into the keyhole, and it'll probably work fine............but they say that oily things like that will pick up dirt, and over time that the lock will gum up again.
