a few questions....

First, for the status output wire, i'm thinking i could use the light blue wire from the alarm/remote start and hook that to the blue wire on the 556u, and I won't need ignition or any of the keysense wires on the 556u....Does that sound correct?

Second, which wires should i use from the alarm to perform my factory arm and disarm!  I know the wires i need to tag into, just not sure what wires i need to use from the alarm!

Anybody familiar with this alarm....i'm used to working with DEI products but the shop i'm at now only does audiovox....any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Yes, you can use the light blue, Ignition 3 output to go to the blue status on the 556U.

Also, as another choice, do you see the small two-pin yellow plug on the side, and they give you a plug with a very short length of black and red wire that plugs into it?

Well, that red is constant 12 volts output, and the black is ground-out-when-running just like Ignition 3. So I usually use those two wires for my transponder bypass.

Also, you won't need it on your Axiom, but if you look in the programming menu, there's "transponder bypass output." You can select "during start," and the black wire will output a ground only until the car starts, then it'll shut off.............that's good for some of your harder cars that can't see two keys at the same time.

ARM/DISARM: use the four-pin harness, with the black wires with stripes on them.

DISARM: use BLACK/ blue, "pulse before start." It'll put out a pulse when you unlock, and also before remote starting.

NOTE: If in the future you have a different car, look at the last feature in the first programming menu. You have "single pulse" and "as feature 1" or something like that.

Basically, if you program the unit for, let's say, double-pulse unlock, and then you change that other one to "as feature 1," you'll end up with a double-pulse disarm output too.

ARM: BLACK/ green. Makes an output every time you lock, and also, just after the car remote starts.

yeah...i went ahead and used the light blue wire.... i was reading the manual and i thought that wire should do what i needed it to do!

For the disarm wire...i used  the 3 wire lock/unlock harness......and had it so that he had to hit it twice....once to disarm the alarm(s) and twice to unlock the doors....i knew there had to be another way, so i'll have him come back to do it the way you said...thanks for the feedback!

I actually figured it would be you or chriswallace187 to respond...thanks again!!  gotta get used to these audiovox alarms!!
