I have an 06 Suzuki Forenza with the alarm going off for no reason. I've tested all the sensors with it on and all seem good. I've been told there is a sensitivity adjustment on the alarm itself. Does anyone know where this adjustment is?
thanks

The "factory" alarm has NO adjustments.

you probably have a short somewhere outside the alarm such as a door pin or something. My moms VW bug as a door pin go out and the factory alarm would go off as soon as the doors locked.

Hood pins seem to be a common failure point on domestics I've seen in the past, not sure about the Suzuki's but it wouldn't hurt to look at ;)

Maybe you could just disconnect one thing at a time to figure out the failure point.

You should have a pinswitch on each door jamb, as well as some kind of switch on the trunk and the hood.

You could, for example, unscrew one door pinswitch, unplug the wire behind it, and leave it that way for a day or two.

If it still falses, reconnect that pinswitch, disconnect another one, and try again.

Car dealerships aren't known for their expertise in electronics (especially intermittent problems), but if it's under warranty, you could just bring it back there and let them deal with it.

I think I'll get a new pin switch and start with the hood. If it still does it, put the old one back and move on to the next one. I tried unhooking one at a time, but it won't activate... kind of like leaving an open loop I assume.
It's my wifes car, if I can't figure it out I'll just unhook it and buy her a dog posted_image
