i need some help on upgrading my alarm system. i have a scytek astra 4000rs-2w-1 and i want to change it to a vision guard 8000, do i hook up the same color wires from astra to vision or do i have to redo the whole install? i would really appreciate the help

If you installed the 1st unit.... use the connections you already made. If you didn't, test first.

oh sorry the wires that I am concerned about on the vision guard 8000 is:
-the 2 battery input (red wires on the 6-pin harness)
-the +12v relay power output (red wire on the door lock/unlock wire harness)
-the passenger unlock output(-) (blue/white wire on the 20 pin harness.
all the other wires the astra 4000rs-2w-1 has it.

The 2 large red constant power wires you cite there can be swapped with the ones on the Astra 4000's external relay bank.
If the Astra works your door locks now, ignore that 12v relay power wire - it's only used with a plug-in door lock relay.
If you'd like the VisionGuard to do priority unlocking (driver's door on the first press, all doors on the second) that is when you'd use that passenger unlock output.

also i have the mp3 siren from scytek do i use the scytek mode or the universal mode? if i do have to use the scytek mode where does the blue attention(-) wire go to on the alarm?

i installed it just like you guys said and it works it takes clear pictures but you cant transfer them to any computer its just there but other than that it works great thanks a lot everyone.
