My order got messed up,and i need to do a negative to negative relay, but don't have the socket. Is it okay to wire it up using female disconnects since i don't have a socket?Everywhere close to me has the relays but no sockets. ------------- "ole blake"

Ya its okay we do it all the time when we run out of sockets, I like the sockets better it looks cleaner and makes it a little quicker. Thats bacisally what a socket is just some disconnects,
just make a good crimp, use the right guage wire for what you are doing and I wrap tape around the disconnets.

Have a couple times in a pinch..... looks like hell, and way more work, but, got the job done.

crimps for sure dont look clean as sockets, and its more hassle IF the relay goes bad which is rare, but good to know you got the job done.
