im not sure if my explorer xlt has a factory alarm or if i need a bypass of any sort.how do i know if i have a factory alarm?i dont know if i need to disarm it with my 791.and do i need any kind of bypass?

in a 94 explorer there is no chip in the key so you dont need a bypass, to test for a factory alarm with the dr door open and window down hit lock on the dr door switch then close the door wait a few minutes then open the door from the inside handle if the horn goes off then there is a factory alarm if nothing then you are good. Im not sure but with the door locked and closed the car might have a security or theft light in the cluster that blinks to tell you if there is a alarm but I would do the test.

The disarm wire if there is a alarm is dk.GREEN/ purple (-) in dr kick so you would use the GREEN/ black (disarm) wire on the Dei 791 to disarm it
