I installed a Viper 5900 into my GS400.  I have installed this alarm many times.  For some reason, this alarm doesn't want to even try to start the car.  Everything else works great, but when I hit the orange button twice, I get nothing.  I used a DEI XK01 and have a hidden key.  Should the Viper atleast try to crank the car?

Sounds like you didn't ground the BLACK/ white wire or it is loose.  If the remote doesn't respond then thats the problem.  If the remote does respond then check all your ignition harness connections and make sure the starter kill is not backwards.  Last but not least....check the tach wire.

I forgot to ground the BLACK/ white wire. It works great now. Thanks!!
