I installed a Crimestopper RS1304DPII RS using an INT-SL Bypass in a customer's 2005 Silverado last fall and about every three months the battery goes dead in the vehicle-one it works, the next day the vehicles dead. The vehicle's battery has been replaced and I've replaced both the brain and the bypass module twice and it still continues. I've checked all my wiring and can't find anything wrong. Any suggestions?
Then most likely it is something else...Perform an AMP DRAW TEST....this will help you on finding out what is pulling power from the battery when the car is off.
i had a new chev truck same problem except it was more frequent as in almost daily
i had used a gmsl
phoned fortin was told to use a newer version
didn't fix the problem checked for current draw each time with no draw evident
replaced the gmsl with a xk01 still was killing the battery with no current draw evident
last time he came in the current draw was there
ended up finding that the power seat switch button was stuck down
i told the customer to remove the breaker
i have talked to the customer several time now with no problems
i had a similar problem on an 06 C/K after installing a starter... i pulled the fuses for the starter and bypass and had the customer test it... still going dead... he took it into the dealership and they found that one of the heated mirrors was staying on.....
