Ok, I have the first 2007.5 Dodge ram built. I work for Chrysler and my contact at work is gone. I have read the post here: 07 Dodge Ram and I have downloaded several files. The 1076, 1084, and 1091.pdf files. Is there anything else that I will need? I guess a little information would help. My truck is: 4 door, 3/4 ton, 4x4, auto, diesel, with power windows, locks tilt, cruise, and it does NOT have the factory alarm. I have keyless entry but I told the dealer when I ordered the truck I didn't want the transponder keys. I think thats what they are called anyway. I told the dealer that I was going to install the aftermarket alarm/remote start so that's why I didn't want those keys or the factory alarm. I'm not sure if I have them or not though because the dealer that I dought this truck from has nothing but idiots working for them.
Oh, I'm installing the AutoPage RS-900 LCD 2-way paging remote start. I am also going to install some window roll-up/down modules too as soon as I figure out which one to get. I was thinking about just using relays to roll the windows down since I will be controlling that part and buying a module to roll them up upon vehicle arming.
From what I have read, I will be using several relays and several resistors to install this alram. I also gather that I am not going to be wiring this up the same way as I am used to. As I stated I have read the PDF files and it looks like it won't be to hard, just have to pay extra attention! Anything I should pay extra close attention too???
are your keys the all in one key with the keyless entry buttons on the key or the older style keys where the rubber is grey, with the hour-glass shaped keyless remote.

The way to check if you car has a chip in the key is to turn the ign on and look on you dash for a little red light, if you do then you have a chip in the key, or take your key apart and put the keyless part on the seat and start the car with just the metal shaft if it shuts right down then you have a chip but dont try it more then that one time it can lock out.
To test for an alarm roll your dr window down lock the door with the dr door swith then close the door wait a few minutes the open it from the inside handle if you horn sounds off well then you have an alarm.
if the unit you are using has a delayed start feature were it turn on the ign and acc for like 10-15 seconds before it cranks then you wont need 1091 if it dont then you need doc 1091
if you use d.e.i part pku-ch2x you will not have to use doc 1084 you can also use d.e.i part xk532 it wil do all of what the pku+chx parts does plus door locks and disarm

if you dont want to do 1076 you can catch the yellow/lt.blue (+) in the dr a pillar as a door trigger but it has a delay on the time down
If you have a RED LED on the dash cluster when you start, you have the Sentry key. A quick way to find out for sure is open up the key FOB and if there's a chip in there, you have the Sentry system. Just buy a module to bypass this and it will have the multiplex bypass for the ignition built into it as well. Makes your life easier and takes alot less time and you don't have to mess with relays.
