Hello  there,

I'm trying to hook up a falcon easy fit predator alarm to my 1997 VW polo. I'm trying to estabish the door lock/unlock wires. I've looked at the Vaccum pump in the boot, and found Grey/red (lock) & Grey/Black (Unlock). Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe these are positive trigger, and the wires i'm looking for.

Any help appreciated

Many thanks

regards

AP

if is a vacuum system you would need two relays or depending on the alarm you have to cute the and do kind of like a 5 wire relay chek tis out https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#vac

Also when you interface with the vacuum locks you have to be able to set longer lock and unlock pulses, generally around 2 seconds is sufficient for each.

Thank you guys.

I am using  2 relays to power the locks. I've got the unlock output working, but the lock doesn't work.

Ive got lock input from alarm to 86- relay 1

30 (relay 1) to lock wire (Grey/Red)

87 on both relays to fused +12V

85  (relay) 1 to 86 (relay2) both to +12v fused

85 (relay2) to unlock output

30 (relay 2) to door unlock wire (Grey/black)

Is this correct?

Thanks

Your colours are correct but pick them up at the front, pos going on that model and you won't need a delay.

Thanks for that Howie.

All working fine now, it was a faulty relay on the door lock circuit. Repalced it, and all is working fine.

Much appreciated
