i suspect that they didnt hook up the ign input which is designed to clear "event memory".... it is flashing to say the alarm has been set off while you are gone.... they do this until you cycle the Ign to clear the memory.....

do your doors lock when you turn the key to ignition? this alarm comes by default to lock the doors upon sensing ignition, i'm also guessing that the ignition input isn't wired up correctly.

ok thanks alot i will have to check that out. might have something to do with it being a 2006 chevy cobalt and that car is a royal pain in the ass and it has that damn GM pass lock bulldoodie. any suggestions??

I beleive it's a PK3 system, and no, it shouldn't have anything to do with that unless it was wired incorrectly and the pink output was only wired to a relay to engage the starting process and not directly conneted to ignition 1 in the car. Which then strikes the question on how the tach was programmed.... the only issue PK3 would bring would be the addition of a couple more relays to get the system to work. ------------- MECP Master Certified Technician

3002 is alarm only..... it should have nothing to do with the existing PL system.....verify that the alarms IGN wire is actually tied in to the vehicle's IGN wire and i'm sure you'll correct your problem....
