I got thru with the wiring of an AM1 in a 2007 grand vitara but have trouble to initiate the learn lock procedure. The LED does not flash as indicated, but if I start the vehicle and turn it off, the horn honks in a sequence: short,      short, short,      short, long, short. The LED also flashes at this time. What am I doing wrong?

Should the dealer master control loop be attached at the module during programming?

the dealer loop does not have to be pluged in, I have run into this before try disconnecting the door trigger, truck if hook up and the 2nd unlock (disarm defeat) wire then do the unlock and lock routine and programing the alarm then hook up the triggers and 2nd unlock wire back up.

can you let me know if this worked

I've come to the conclusion that my valet switch is defective (shorted). I did not have another switch with me so I just stripped the wire in order to do the programming, but that was not so handy. Now the alarm is blurring and I cannot stop it.

How do I reset the AM1 in order to start from scratch?

The lock learn procedure was not succesful since the lock button on the remote does not operate if the doors are not opened. I'll try your procedure

on the side of the all in one valet led buttom the is a plastic lip shave it off with a razor then mount it if you dont some times the lip causes the button to squeez and stick when you try to program

you can reset the am1 from the bit writer go to the feature to zap the alarm it resets it to how it was out of the box

oh and you dont have to use the key fob just use the door switch when doing the unlock lock routine

after you are all done make sure the car is set for the driver door to unlock on the first pluse then the rest f the dors on the second pluse
