Hi, I have a 2001 Honda Civic. I have already ordered a Fortin SL3 Immobilizer bypass, and I am looking at either the Viper 5701 or the Python 872 alarms. They are very similar alarms as they are both made by DEI.

I was wondering if anyone who installs the two alarms regularly, could help me choose one, by noting the differences in the two, and which you prefer.

which remote do you like? pick one then buy it.

The Viper and Python alarms are identical. Both made my Directed Electronics. Just figure out what features you want and what remote and buy that one. I have a python 990 in my car.
