Hey guys, currently working on a 97 toyota rav 4. my information says the tach wire is a blue/white or a black\white at the coil. can someone verify this is correct, and if so where is the exact location of the coil.

          thank-you in advance

The info I have says BLACK/ white. If this vehicle has a classic distributor/coil setup, the spark plug wires go to the distributor. There is another plug wire looking wire on the distributor that goes to the coil.

Some vehicles have the coil built into the distributor.

More likely an injector port, look at the 8 wires, 4 will be the same colour, 4 will be different, one the different ones, or may be some wires from the distributor, if you find one, check wires from this unit,  last some Toyotas and all Lexus have a BLACK/ silver dots on the OBD II socket under driver dash.
