Im trying to add air horns to my friends car. Hes got a DEI alarm with your typical outputs and such. How do i go about wiring up air horns to his alarm? im going to be wiring them up to his normal horns as well....i remember one of my fellow installers telling me it had something to dowith the domelight or something? i could be wrong...can anyone help? thanks.

Hi BlackGti, connect the air horns as you normally would to work with the existing horn. To connect it to the alarm, tap into the positive lead of the compressor and connect it to terminal #87 of an SPDT relay. Connect terminal #85 to the alarm's siren output. If the output is (+), connect terminal #86 to ground. If the output is (-), connect #86 to constant 12V+ (fused). Connect terminal #30 to constant 12V+ (fused)

The air horns will work with the horn switch and sound whenever the siren sounds. If you want, you can add a flasher in-line on the lead connected to terminal #87 and the positive side of the compressor. By doing this, the air horns will sound on and off as the siren is sounding instead of just blasting away as if you were sitting on the horn switch.

how do i add a flasher? because a constant air horn sounds stupid aftergoing off for a few minutes once it starts losing air...

Hi BlackGti, there are two terminals on a flasher. Cut and connect one side of the lead to one terminal and connect the other side of the lead to the other terminal as shown in this light flash diagram here:
