After looking over the 571x install manual, I do not see a rear hatch pin input. Do you use a diode to isolate and wire it together with hood pin? ------------- DIY guy, can't learn if you never try

571 is R/S only.... why in the world would you need a rear hatch shutdown input?

not necessarily for shutdown but for the alarm trigger? if not the hood switch, then do I wire it up with the door trigers using diode? ------------- DIY guy, can't learn if you never try

You don't have an alarm. Hooking up the door triggers and trunk pin are pointless.

Use the blue multiplexed input in the primary harness. It can be programmed to show the trunk icon on the remote. Programming of that feature is in the owners manual for the alarm, not the install manual.

OK. I'll try that, Question though, the install manual says "H1/6 Blue Second unlock" so I"ll loose the progressive unlock if I use H1/6 as trunk input? ------------- DIY guy, can't learn if you never try

No, the blue 2nd unlock output is in the H2 harness. The blue wire in the main harness (H1) is the trunk trigger input what install manual are you looking at? The manual for the 791xv lists two blue wires H1/7 - blue trunk/multiplex trigger input H2/1 - light blue 2nd unlock output But on the 571xv you've got H1/6 - blue 2nd unlock output Are you working with a 571xv or 791xv? ------------- Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
