I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX Coupe, and I am currently installing the Python 872 Transponder LE alarm, with a Fortin SL3 Bypass. I currently made all my wiring connections, and have taught the SL3 my key frequency.
I am currently able to lock\unlock the doors, and pop the trunk using the actuator I installed.
But when I go to start the car, it illuminates the dash, and the car beeps as if there is a key in the cylinder. But the car will not start. It will try 3 times and then I receive an error beep on the receiver.
I tested all the lines, and the 12V, and the IGN1 and IGN2 lines are hot while it is trying to remote start. I am able to start the car but putting the key in and turning, The ACC line is not hot and the car is not attempting to crank.
I guess my question is why would the ACC be cold and why is the car not attempting to crank the starter.
I have the alarm set to use the autotach which just monitors the voltage, I do not have the tach line installed, would that make a difference. My car is an auto, and from reading the manual, it does not need the tach line as long as I have it set to autotach.
Thanks for reading this, and I look forward to hearing a solution thanks.

Do you have the key sense hooked up? If the polarity is reversed, it might think that the key in when it is not.
Hopefully Acc just runs the radio and the heater/a/c. Does the starter wire see voltage? Does the hood safety see a ground?

Even though the tach wire is inside the car, less than 6 inches from your ignition wires (see search feature), that car should work well enough tachless. May or may not work reliably when you have the air conditioner on.
That car has two accessory wires (BLACK/ red and WHITE/ black if I'm not mistaken). BLACK/ red is for the heater/AC, and the other one just turns on the radio, and isn't needed.
However, even if you failed to power up either of the accessory wires, the car would still remote start anyway, just the heater wouldn't come on.
You didn't say if the remote starter cranks the car's starter. Does it? If not, put your test light/multimeter on the BLACK/ white starter wire while trying to remote start the car, and report your results.
Did you cut the car's starter wire in half, and use the Python's...........I forget the colors.......green and purple wires? If you get those two hooked up backwards, it won't crank the starter. Check carefully what is hooked up to "key side" and "engine side" of the car's wire that you cut in half.
