i've installed Viper 781XVs on two of my other vehicles,and i recently bought a system for my newest vehicle.what i didn't realize was that i actually bought a 591XV.once i received it,i realized it!

the brain looks the same as my 791s,and appears to have all the same pinouts(i haven't pulled one of my 791 brains to compare).my question is this-can i simply buy a shock sensor and have it function as my other 791s?or,is the 591 brain missing the security hardware?seems to me it should work,but i don't want to get too far into it before finding out if won't,then having to try to sell the 591 to buy another 791.

Any help is appreciated.

okay,just for future reference,today i compared the 591 brain to one of my 791 brains.connections are all the same,other than the 591 not having an input for the shock sensor....so,you can't convert the remote start only series to be a security system also.

so,anyway-i have a brand new 591 for sale now on Ebay!
