Just bought one. Put it in last night but didnt finish. I only did the alarm portion and left the remote start for later when i have time. Im kinda dissapointed that the remote pager does not report the warn away trigger. Had the 791XV and it worked great, just wasnt compatible with manual trans. Anyone else have this alarm? Any feedback appreciated.

it is just an updated 573 the old LED 2-way  which did not give warn away either ....why not just add a 689M to your 791?

I've never used the 689m. How does it work? I saw it on line but couldn't find it on the directechs website.

Never mind just found it. Anyone have expierence with the 689m? I really thought the new LE Responder would be the top dog of all Viper alarms. I guess i was wrong. Still a great system though no doubt.

The new Responder LE that was released is the mid-line model.  There will be another launch this fall that has the rest of the LE line.  The launch will include three different one-way models, and then two, higher-end, two-way models.  The next step from the one you currently have is the LCD version which will be very similar to the 791 models, with the exception that it will have the new Responder features.  The last step is the full color LCD version.

So, basically, in the grand scheme of things, you purchased a lower-end model than your 791.  You may have gotten more features, but sacrificed some of those features on your 791.

Ya im dissapointed with it. I tried to adjust the on board shock sensor with the two way remote and had a hard time getting it in to sensor program on the remote. I figured i would try to reprogram the remote to the system so i deleted all remotes then tried to reprogram both and only the one way remote codes up. I had already done it once before i tried the sensor adjustment and it coded up fine, now it just wont program.
