2004 Toyota highlander , Bought the toydl says to connect it to the purple data wire in the drivers kick panel....umm not very specfic! Anyone care to point out which exact wire is it  (ie. connector and wire position# would help!)

it will be coming in from the drivers door....

yes look for the harness coming in from the door.  It should connect to a plug near the kick panel.
