Hello.I have a 1994 Bmw E36 316 COMPACT,wich has an alarm installed by previous owner,a Gemini 7049.Alarm stopped working a week ago ,and i cant get it to function, remote control led is working when i push buttons,i changed batery but nothing happens.Led indicator of alarm is dead,i found the alarm installed under dash in the driver side ,fuses ar good,i have current +,and ground -.I also found a relay, and an auxiliary module wich has an led ,i think it is a senzor .How can i test alarm to see if its broken,or what is the problem?

if as you say fuses and ground(s) are ok, there are two things you can do. 1) Assume the remote is faulty and reprogramme or change. 2) Disconnect power plug from brain, wait 20 secs then plug back. Retry with remote. If this fails then the brain has failed. Remember we are talking Italian electronics here not US., but also remember the Gemini could be up to 14 years old. Gemini was the BMW UK official alarm around that time and I've removed and replaced dozens.

Unfortunately, we never tried to repair them it just wasn't worth the effort we threw them and replaced them. If there is no agency/importer for Romania you will have to contact Gemini in Italy.

Yes ,but i think they don't have that model ,on the alarm sas year 2002,but on gemini.ee the only site found, they dont have this model.BUT how to reprogramme the remote ?????-this i did not try,and if u know this alarm what would be a replacement brain from gemini or other brand that will use the same plug and wires as this model 7049 so that i dont have to go to electrician just simpl plug and play,or is not posible??..Thanks for everything
