I have '07 Dodge 2500 with keyless entry. I just installed snowplow and needed a wire to supply 12v ignition to the plow wiring.  The wire I tapped into was pink/white wire on Remote Start module.  Now the truck is immobile.  All of the dash lights come on, but when I turn the key, everything goes dark.  In addition the door lock button doesn't work (the unlock button still works).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Do I just need to reprogram SKIM or is problem more extensive.

I should have also mentioned that this is a Dodge Ram 2500.  Also, the parking lights do not flash so it appears the remote module is not recognizing key???

Have you tried disconnecting the snowplow wire to see if things go back to normal?   You tapped the snowplow wire into the wire of the remote start module, what color wire of the vehicle is connected to that same wire?

Yes, I removed the wire from the remote start and it did not solve the problem.  I don't completely understand your second question.  The snowplow wire is the one in the kit that is normally attached to a 12v source that is on at the same time the ignition is.  The wire I choose to attach it to was the pink/white wire on the remote start module.  I tested the pink/white wire before attaching and it indeed was 12v ignition.

The snowplow kit has 5 relays and wiring to switch power from headlights and turn signals to the new lights mounted on plow.  This wiring all seemed straightforward.  The only other connection I made was to connect snowplow 12v and gnd wires to battery.  I have not removed these yet, but will do so in morning to rule everything out.  I didn't think there was connection to anti-theft unit, but you never know.  I had wondered if disconnecting/connecting battery could have caused problem?

Finally, I should mention that it is a Boss V-Poly snowplow.

I understand your question now after re-reading.  I do not know what wire is connected to the pink/white, but will look tomorrow.  The remote start unit is a factory Dodge unit so I had just assumed it was 12v ignition as posted on another thread here under remote start diagrams for this vehicle.

The ignition wire at the key harness will not handle any current draw at all. It won't even trigger a relay. I am thinking that the remote start pink/white is connected to that wire. I have never heard of attempting to use that wire cause any damage and making things quit working. Usually vehicle won't start, idles rough Etc. Removing connection from said wire allows the vehicle to return to normal. If you get the vehicle running properly again, I do have a fix for you. Just let me know when you get it all back to normal. Disconnect all connections you made and see if that allows the vehicle to start again.
