Sup everyone, I have a 2005 Ford F350 dually and I have a Scytek Galaxy 5100rs With Remote start that I want to put on it. I would pay someone to do this, but most places careless about your car. So I'm doing this for the first time and would like help.
If anyone can provide me with a walk through, Or a diagram for this alarm for this truck, Scytek 5100rs for 05 F350. Provide me which wire goes with which, wires exact location on the truck, pictures, diagrams, anything that can help. Thanks. Also my truck has lowjack, does that matter when installing the alarm?
To be honest, if you need that much information you're probably in over your head. Remote starts and alarms are almost never installed by just doing "connect this wire from the controller to this wire on the vehicle" on anything from the past 10 years.
You should NEVER connect to a wire which you haven't verified with a digital voltmeter.
Additionally, if a place damages your truck you can file a lawsuit or take them to small claims court.
If you've had a problem with specific installers/shops in your area, try looking for new ones, perhaps using the "Installer search" feature on here, or posting your city and maybe another reader can recommend someone.
Nothing personal about this message - I'd just hate to see anyone damage their vehicle or waste a bunch of nights/weekends.

Ok i got the alarm installed, it goes off, and arms and disarms. However, When I arm my alarm the auxilary lights/ dome lights stay on. Also I have a factory alarm and it doesnt arm or disarm the factory alarm. Am i suppose to hook it up to the factory alarm? and last after i disarm, my dash stay beeping till i stick the key in, as if i would have left my ignition open or something. I can tell you the wire i have, and dont have connected.
I do NOT have connected of the Alarm the 20 Pin Main Harness -
- WHITE/ RED WIRE: Auxilary 2 Output (-) 500mA.
-BLUE / YELLOW WIRE: Glow Plug Input (+).
-BLUE/ORANGE WIRE: Ground When Running Output (-) 500mA.
-VIOLET/WHITE WIRE: Factory Disarm Outout (-) 500mA.
-WHITE/ VIOLET WIRE: Auxilary 3 / Factory Rearm Output (-) 500mA.
-GRAY WIRE: Auxilary 1 Output (-) 500mA.
All the other wire are connected.
First, you probably don't have a factory alarm. Keyless entry with a panic button isn't a "factory alarm", and there's no info I've seen that F-series Super Duty or Excursion ever came with one.
Second, the warning chime is due to the Scytek's "extended parking lights" which come on with unlock/disarm. The truck is chiming because the parking lights are on.
