Ok. Im new to this, and I've obtained a 650 II off Ebay, and been given a Smart Windows II module.

- I realise that ideally it would be a Smart Windows IV module to fit with it, or a 530T, but thats what I've got. Please be kind.

The windows control module looks relatively easy to splice into my existing car loom. But I still cant see how it gets triggered by the immobiliser. The only PDF I cant find of the wiring only refers to the leads with molar plugs. However on the top of the unit there are four screw terminals: - IGN (I presume ignition - but cant think why it makes any difference, given that it receives uninterrupted power via one of the molar plugs); IMM (I presume this is the immobiliser trigger, but I dont know what it needs for that trigger), STOP (cant think what this would wire to), and SU??-IN (the letters are worn, and again, no idea what these mean).

Does anybody have an install guide for the Smart Windows II module, or know how to finish off the wiring and link it to a 650 Mk II?

Or would you really advise me to dump it and go for the 530T anyway?

Throw it away, it's not compatible with G5, and anyway buying the alarm on fleabay guarantees you problems. What car is it.?

The car is an Escort MKV, which has done less than 29,000 miles, mint. The 650 MKII works fine, a doddle to fit, but to tidy it all up I need to sort out the windows and sunroof autoclosure. I can drop the Smartwindows II, switch to two 530Ts for the windows (its a 4 door), but I'm still trying to wrap my head around auto closing the sunroof (its a tilt and slide).
