i have a 97 cavalier we where doing a basic alarm and sound system upon the battery being disconnected for a couple minutes the car will not star the theft light is on solid it is IT IS NOT FLASHING its on solid at all times thank will appreciate the help

just need a relearn let your key in "on" position for 10 minute and start

Make sure that you didn't tap into any of the 3 Passlock I wires coming off the ignition switch. They are either yellow, black & white or black. BLACK/ white and white. If you cut any wires in the igntiion harness reconnect them. Leave the ignition off for 15 minutes and them retry starting the car. Make sure that all fuses are good and that the battery is charged.

i checked all the fuses they are all good the car is still here at the shop as far as the ignition i didnt cut any wires coming from the harness but il check just in case battery is fully charged besides that i cant really think of anything else this is the first time i could not get a car to start after an install from a basic alarm and sub and amp install
