Bought a new shop truck, and I'm gonna install remote start/keyless in it. Called about getting a 457G, and I guess it's been replaced by the XK01? I don't do remote starts on a regular basis anymore, so I've been "out-of-the-loop" for awhile.

Does anybody have an instruction manual available for download or a list of wires for the module?

Thanks

The XK line of bypass kits can be "flashed" to work in many vehicles.
They come standard with AMDL loaded so I will give you a link to that manual. https://bypasskit.com/getdocument.aspx?documentid=445

That manual is a little hard to follow. The remote start is going on an03 Siera 1500. Is there a full english version of that manual?

much better. Doesn't look simple, but doesn't look too difficult.

Thanks!

If you are just doing a Remote start and not a alarm, you can forget about the door trigger wires.
Heck if you get a Starter/Alarm that has a compatible Data2Data port all you need is one cable and the purple wire.

Hey guys, I'm new to the site but have been doing some heavy reseach here. still slightly confused about the XK01 tho... Probably just overthinking it like usual.

From what I'm gathering is the output from the Remote Start unit tells the Bypass (XK01) in this case to tell the computer via the data wire on the OBDII plug to unlock/lock the doors. Is this the case? I have an 06 Trailblazer and will be doing an RS Friday and am just confused about that part. Any clarification is greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys,

Jeremy

jdawg,

You'll get more responses if you make your own post with the name of your car in the subject line.

But yes, the XK01 puts out data signals on the purple wire, that command the car to lock, unlock, and turn off the Passlock II anti-theft system so the remote starter can turn on the engine.

I wish it was only that easy Chris... if it was, then I'd have my questions answered too :(

good luck on the xk01. i put one in an 03 silverado this w/end and it went well (ungo rk1 keyless entry and remote start).
