A customer came in today and asked me if I knew about the new R/S fob from GM. He then told me this new key fob is capable of displaying tire pressure, odometer, fuel level, and changing the radio satation. (of course if your not it the car who cares about that one). I wonder if aftermarket is going to go after that. My customer said the remote is $250 from GM and wondered if that was too much. I told him if it increases the range of the factory remote then it is worth it. The remote has a little LCD display to it. Pretty neat stuff.

Geez if automakers keep this up I'll have to go sell pencils on the street corner.

ADS is working on an interface with Compustar to do the same thing on RS equipped GM's. ANd with 5000' of range instead of 1000.
