I have a 1997 ford taurus g i just recently put an avital avistart 330 in everything works fine but when you start the car normaly (not with remote ) the alarm is supose to lock the doors three seconds after it starts   it doesnt instead if you leave the door open it will lock the doors after it starts

Any help would be greatly appreciated
1st Time Installer

it sounds like you are using the wrong door trigger wire for your alarm? Have you tested it to see if door trigger works? let me know if it helps. Follow wiring colors to fix problem.  If you are using the positive trigger for the alarm, make sure to connect to positive trigger of car, same goes for negative, but use only one not both.

DOOR TRIGGER|BLACK/ lt. blue      |+  |under dash light *1    

*1 Also found lt. GREEN/ orange (-) at headlight switch. BLACK/ orange at GEM (instrument fuse panel) will get all doors and hatch on wagon. Rests at ground through ignition, cut and diode isolate.
