I'm installing a new Viper 5701 in a 1998 Rav4 (automatic,4cly gas.,2dr.) and after reading all posts and diagrams related to the system I still have some difficulty with some installers lingo and basic connections.I plan on doing a barebones installation.I am installing electric door locks and plan on using the aux button for the rear hatch lock.My main problem is the viper as so many options and features I'm not sure which wires can be removed from the plugs and which ones have to be grounded to make the unit work properly.The viper manual tells you what the wire does but doesn't tell you if it is necessary for basic operation of the unit and what condition the wire should be left in if not used(Grounded or removed).I just want the remote start,door lock operation,climate control and basic alarm.I am going into the parking lights but I'm not worried about the dome lights.Below are the wires in question.A simple ground ,remove or must be installed(and to what) would be helpful.
H1/4 Flex parking light relay
H1/9 dome light
H1/10 Turbo timer
H1/12 ground when armed
H2/1,2 No factory alarm so I am removing them
H2/4,5,6 unused aux functions
H2/7 Diesel wait to start
H3/2 Flex relay
H3/7 Flex relay
H3/8 flex relay
H3/9 acc/starter
Also which wire would be best to tap into climate control feed.
Can I just leave out the remote start/relay out plug because I can't see any uses for it.

so you are NOT hooking up remote start? you want this unit to only do keyless entry? a little more info will go a long way.... define "barebones install"

As stated in my 1st post I am using the remote start and door locks(aftermarket).I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible.I have no desire to have interior lights,factory horn,windows rolling up or any other aux connections involved.I think I'm good with the wires I know I have to use but there are plenty left that are not clearly dealt with in a fairly poor installation manual. Thanks
