I'm installing a ca530 remote start on a 08 Civic EX sedan, no navi, a/t.  I found the lock/unlock wires, but I cannot find the brown factory-disarm wire.  It is either in the drivers side kick panel or the MICU.  I test it with a meter: red to hot, black to wire.  The brown wire should be a brief neg polarity.   I've checked every brown wire I see and cant find it.  Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

test the suspect wires turning the lock cylinder in the driver side door in order to get it to show a negative pulse.

Does anyone know a good way to locate the brown alarm-disarm wire.  I still cannot locate it.

There are two looms of wires coming from the driver's door harness by the drivers kick panel. One loom has the door lock and unlock & the other has the OEM alarm and disarm wires.

There are 2 plugs in the drivers kick, a white, and a blue. It's up HIGH in the kick behind the fuse box... sucks to get to.

It's in the white plug..........

Can you get to the  white & blue plugs by pulling out the rubber cap that the door wires go thru?

Yes, you can. I don't think that's the easiest way to do it, but it's possible. It's actually how I did my first '06 Civic.

You can undo that rubber cap in the driver's doorjamb, and pull the harness out into the doorjamb some more. (There's not a lot of slack on the harness inside the car, but there's enough.)

Then you can also temporarily pull your own aftermarket wires out through that same hole, into the doorjamb, make your connections, and then push everything back in.

Tip: The arm/disarm wires are very tiny and thin, much thinner than most of the other wires in the harness.
