is DEI doing away with some of there "installed only" no mail order. i know that several place do , but are not authorized. but a company big as crutchfield, is now doing this. of course there prices are almost at installed price. also they say lifetime warranty and you can buy extending warranty that goes through crutchfield or there insurance company or how ever that works.
does any one have any info on this or people that work with or at DEI have any info.

dei now sells direct to public with install

not really.....they sell them with basic install which is routed to the local dealer. You have to register in the directed dealer website to receive those jobs.
