Im trying to install the viper 1002 on my 06 tacoma.Dose anyone out there know which is the best way to hook up to the power door locks.I think by the manual you hook to the green and black power unlock and purple power lock. The alarm door lock harness has a violet with a black stripe fused wire thats to be hooked to lock #87 normaly open(input)Just where do you hhok it to?The install manual syays go to directechs.com to downlaod document #1041 for more detailed info but you have to have an account for that one.I would like to install it myself but do to arthritis in my legs I cant spend too much time on my knees trying to figure this out. Thanks for any all help you can give an old guy!

i haven't done the 1002 as yet, but i think the wiring same as the 5002 if so, the green and black, and the blue and black are the lock, unlock wires, and the violet with black stripe that's common with the violet at the fuse holder goes to a ground. the other wires remain unused.

Thanks. The install manual is a little fuzzy on the door lock harness. Its not natural to ground a fused wire. When my knee feels up to it I will go back and give it a try.To everyone out there enjoy your youth.Getting old sucks. The brains willing but the body aint.

Check that you didn't ground out the door pin wires which are on the back of fuse box. Passenger door is RED / Black; Driver door is GREEN/ YELLOW; Rear doors is pink/Black

I will do that next day off I get.Thanks.I did notice that the door adjar light gets dimmer with the door close but dosent go out.Cars these days just have way to much junk on them.I like my old chevy. The only thing electronic is the ignition and the radio.Even the pop up head lights are vaccum operated.Nice unless you have a leak, but then its a corvette its supposed to leak somewhere.
