I've been getting more and more new Chryslers, where apparently the only way to disarm the factory alarm is with the factory keyfob/key.  It's beginning to become a pain in the butt.  We get a lot of people, especially elderly that either accidently lock with the factory remote, lock with the button in the door, or even lock with our remote, but with the door(s) open, all of which activate the factory alarm.  Once armed, our remote will not unlock the doors, and starting the vehicle will set the alarm off.  I've tried everything to disarm it including waking up the ignition, keysense, etc.  Can't seem to figure out how to disarm the thing.  Even turning the key in the door does not disarm it, which is rediculous.

Anyone know a trick to disarm this thing?  There HAS to be a way.

If doing a remote start - keysense, ignition, and valid transponder code should disarm.

Also, the factory remote key will still do lock/unlock/arm/disarm unless it is in the ignition - i.e. if remote start or the other key is used, the first key remote still works.

It is a stupid setup IMO but it can be avoided as well if you use a data module for lock/unlock.

You could use Idatalink bypasses like the ADS-DLSL CH3. It will use data to do most everything for you, like locks, factory alarm, bypass, door triggers, trunk pop, even send data thru the multiplex igntion wire eliminating the need for ralays and resistors. They are pricey, but they cut the install time more than in half and will cure your problem.
