I installed a TRC remote start/alarm in my 2000 Malibu. When I had the wires hanging, before clean up, it started OK. But after I tied up the wires and finished the install the remote start will start the car, but it doesn't stay running. I checked all the wires and they are connected correctly. Any suggestions on what might be wrong would be appreciated.
Thanks-

Are you looking at about 2secs or 15. If the former you haven't bypassed the factory immobiliser, if the second you haven't learned tach. When you originally tested it did you have the key within a few inches of the ignition switch?

sdruesch, what immobilizer bypass did you use?

howie, '97-'03 Malibus had Passlock, not key-based immobilizer.
