I'm looking for the direct wire hook up to connect a Hornet 740T to my 2005 Mazda 6. I have seen in the forums many wire connection guides (where the connection for the hook up wire for say the unlock is located, ect) but none that say something like "Connect the red wire from the Hornets H1/11 (red wire) to the mazda 6's BLACK / YELLOW (12v) located on the ignition harness. and so on. I have asked the intallers for this sheet, but of course they say no...but they will charge me $80.00 to hook the alarm for me. but I want to do it myself. So if anybody has hooked up a Hornet to a mazda 6, can you please tell me the direct connection guide for it. I can figure out some of the connections, but there are some connections that confuse me on how they should be connected. any help would be helpful

80.00 is a bargain, if it's not your friend who will do it Saturday afternoon in his garage at home. Plus... what is your time worth? Anyways, HERE! -------------

Wow, First of all let me try to say this without sounding bad, but I'm sorry, but I live on a fixed income, and $80.00 is a weeks worth of groceries. (and the alarm was a gift for my birthday) This is the reason I came here, to see if there was someone who had already done it, or had access to the info (like www.directechs.com). I am very electronic savy, and like I said, I do know how most of the wires need to be connected (with the help of some of the posts here at 12volt) but there are a few connections that are stumping me, like the dome supervision. my book says i need to use a relay, which I do understand the reason for the relay, but the way they show how to hook it up is very confusing. Thats what I was hopeing sombody here has either done this alarm for the mazda 6, or has the access to the info. or is it possible if I post the Hornet 740T's connector pin hookup's here, can somebody help me. Thanks

hhhmmm.......i dont live on a fixed income and i wish my old piece of crap car was half as new and nice as your 2005 mazda 6. how do you do that ? and what are your questions exactly? can you be a little more specific as to exactly what wires you need to know about?

I can spend $25 0n a day's worth of food, I can't afford a Mazda 6 but still Mr. Fixed Income, question, after you unlock, get into your car and shut the door, does your dome light stay on until you turn the key to ignition? If the answer's yes, you don't need to worry about it.
