is there a light that turns on when the lid is lifted?? if tap that wire. if not you may need a bracket to hold the switch. make sure it lines up as not to break the switch when you close the lid. you have to lay inside the trunk with a flashlight to see where the best place would be to mount it. MAKE SURE SOMEONE IS OUTSIDE OF THE TRUNK TO OPEN IT WHEN YOU ARE DONE! lol
you should have a neg. trigger wire on your alarm. run it to the switch adjust the height of the pin switch and your done.

good luck,
david

Visit your local Radio Shack and look for a mercury switch. They are small and you can just screw it to the trunk lid. They seem to be getting harder to find though. Maybe check out local electronics shops.

Draasch, yes a light does come on. so would i still need the switch or just tap into the wire with the negative trigger.  if so can i use the output from the trunk release.

two cold, thanks i will definitely look into it because i know the last car i had the place that did the alarm used a mercury switch

no you can not use the trunk release wire that would be an output. you need a trigger wire. i think you will need a neg trigger wire. im not sure what color it is on your alarm. i dont use that brand. look on the unit it self it might tell you. once you know, use a meter to double check your wire. then you can hook it up.

good luck,
david
