I installed this system a year ago with pretty good success.  I got all the primary remote start features working.  I never could figure out the door locks and the dome light.  I would like to connect both.

I have searched the internet and have seen connections going to pink / YELLOW and pink/green in the kick panels with no relays.  I have also seen where relays are used.  I am totally confused with what I need to do ( thus the year long delay)

My vehicle is 2001 F150, factory keyless entry, no alarm.  Also, locks do not go to sleep after sitting for several minutes.  I tested this by rolling down driver window, locking doors from the driver side armrest, letting sit 20 minutes and then unlocking from the same driver door armrest.  When done, the doors unlocked, my understanding is it would not have unlocked if it had the "sleep" feature.

I think I may just need to connect the separate 562t lock/unlock harness to the pink / YELLOW and pink/green of the truck.  Does this sound right?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Also, any info on dome light would be great.

Thanks,

Troy

on your particular truck you will connect the blue/green lock/unlock wires from the 562T directly to the pink / YELLOW and pink/light green wires in your truck. dome supervision is the BLACK/ light blue wire in the passenger side kick panel and is positive trigger so i believe with your unit you are going to need a relay to change the polarity from negative to positive.

Is this the way I would do the domelight relay, except where it says "Trunk Release", that would be domelight.  What amp fuse should I use.

Thanks,

Troy

yes, exactly like that. the wire from the 562T i believe is BLACK/ white. just use a 10 amp fuse, thats more than enough fuse for the current draw on your dome light and will still protect 22-18ga wire.

hey on the 562T there is a door lock polarity jumper change it to neg and it should save the hassle of using a relay
