i started an install of a Hornet 564T on my 07 Corolla LE. i need some clarification. some places say the 04-08 is the same except with the dome supv/left front door trigger no longer available behind the dimmer switch on the newer models. also the newer models have transponder keys.

a few of the vehicle information guides have different references and need help finding correct plugs

Power Locks

the one on this site says:

lock = green (driver kick 10-pin plug)
unlock = blue / YELLOW (same location)

one site says:

POWER LOCK       BLUE/WHITE (TYPE B)       @ WHITE PLUG , DRIVER KICK PANEL
POWER UNLOCK       BLUE (TYPE B)       @ WHITE PLUG , DRIVER KICK PANEL

Door Trigger / Dome Supervision

since i can no longer tap the rear of the dimmer switch, wire guide shows

Left Front Door Trigger - Red (front of fuse box, 10 pin plug) i have looked under the dash and cannot find this for my life

Trunk Pin

Trunk/Hatch Pin RED / white   -   light in trunk

is this wire anywhere in the driver kick?

Transponder Override

i will be using the XK05 but can't find where the IMO and IMI wires are coming off the ECU? i can see the plug for the black tach wire but have read other alternatives on here to just use the wire off the speedo gauge.

thanks in advanced for any help that you can provide. sorry for the stupid questions, i haven't done an alarm install in a few years before immobilizers started becoming standard on cars. this is actually my first new car.

ok i dunno if this will help since the corollas i'm accustomed doing are the japan and singapore right hand models, the lock, unlock wire i access them behind the glove box, it's a white connector going into fuse box with about six or so wires can't remember off hand, colours are blue / YELLOW and blue/white, they can also be found in the driver kickwell, in the harness leading to driver door same colours there, they drop to zero when the locks are activated and return to 0.01 volts when at rest, so test carefully, the door trigger i access on the passenger side under the running floor panel, colour is red and white, there are two wires that are RED / white so test to be sure one monitors only one door trigger and the other monitors all four,  the trunk wire at trunk light. hope i can help.

All Corollas the years you mention have transponder. I usually get the all door trigger in the drivers A pillar, thought it was RED / yellow or red something. This will catch all doors with a 1 second delay which will work fine with a Hornet. The trunk can be found in the DKP only on upper models in the lowest harness there. Base models you have to go to the trunk.

The XK05 is a timewaster. If you can return it, get the Fortin (ifar.ca) KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2, or the slightly more expensive KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL. Both pieces have simple connections right at the immobilizer wires at the ignition switch.

Along the driver's doorsill going toward the rear of the car:
Green: positive parking lights

GREEN / WHITE: positive brake (two GREEN / WHITE wires, test carefully because only one is brake)

RED / yellow: Door trigger. Catches all four doors with no delay.

Doorlocks: Green and blue / YELLOW, like the first site you found. Test the wires while turning the key in the outsite of the door, NOT using the rocker switch on the door panel.

Trunk trigger: The Corolla has no dashboard trunk-ajar indicator, and no factory alarm. Therefore, there was no reason for Toyota to run a wire to the front of the car. If you want trunk trigger, you'll have to get it at the light.

Dome supervision: The domelight will already turn on when you unlock, as long as the remote start isn't running. If that's good enough for you, then you wouldn't need to hook up dome supervision at all.

If you do want to hook up your aftermarket domelight supervision..........I think the reason you're getting confliciting information is because the 2003-2004 had a domelight switch built into the dash dimmer switch. But I think they dropped that after 2005, and the only switch is in the ceiling, in the dome lamp housing.

So, like MikeM2 was saying, you could probably just pull off the driver's A-pillar (roof pillar) and get the domelight wire there.
