I bought an ignition switch from a 08 corvette and I need the pinout for the switch. It has a 10-pin plug on the back. Just need to know what each pin is for. Thanks.

What are you trying to do with the switch? Are any of the connections of substantial size? Do you have the key?   If you have an ohm meter and some time to do some footwork, I can probably help you figure out enough of the switch to be able to use it.

I'm using it for a keyless ignition setup I'm putting together. I tried using an ohm meter and figured out a little bit but not much. Its a 10 pin connector like this....

1     2      3     4     5

6     7     8     9     10

I've figured out that.....

- 7 & 8 are connected permanently. So I'm guessing the led light is poweRED / grounded by these

- 5 & 10 are connected when the Start side is pushed in.

- 1 & 6 are connected when the Off/ACC Side is pushed in. It is also actived when the Start side is pushed as well but it read alot more ohms than it does when the Off side is pressed

- 2,3,4,9 I can not get to read anything.....

Does the off/acc side of the switch stay down when you press it?

No its just a momentary pulse type switch I guess thats how you'd describe it.

How many lights does the switch have?  Can you take it apart?

I'm guessing 3 at the most. I was hoping someone would/could come up with a pinout/wiring diagram for this thing so I wouldnt have to take it apart but it looks like I will be taking it apart now. I THINK it has three lights. One for the start portion and two for the off and ACC.

so three LEDs and two switches?

I would guess that the LEDs have a common + and individual - triggers.

I would also guess that the switch sides switch a - signal.  I'm not sure what the other pins would be for.  Is there continuity between any of the other pins besides the two you already identified?

Yeah I think the ones I havent identified maybe be leds that are switched closed when the lights are on like a relay so thats why they arent showing thet theyre connected at the moment. Also the only one I know are connected are the ones stated.
