hi,.. does anybody here know about 40026T remote starter ?.  After I installed 40026T in my vehicle the module does not resppond at all when I press start button on the remote. The only one button working is Light/Parking button. I double checked all wires and the on/off swicth light is red (ready for remote start) .

I Used the mult. meter to measure the module:

+12V between ground and power wire but nothing come out from start, ignition, ignition2 and ACC ouput wires ( the module has relays built in and should be 12v ouput on these wires).

I wonder if my 40026T is bad one ?

im not familiar with that remote start, but.......

does it need to be programmed for tach first? if so is that step done?

is the brake shutdown wire seeing 12v even if the brake pedal is not depressed?

is the hood pin safety shutdown grounding?

is the neutral safety wire on the remote start hooked up?

are you pressing the right button or buttons and pressing it or them the right amount of times?

the tach is not required. The "no-tach" starting is preset at the factory, using car's voltage method instead.

the hood pin safety shutdown is not ground at all.

this module does not have a the neutral safety wire.

yes, the amount of time between buttons pressed is right amount.

the question come to my mind is if the car's voltage is not reading right then the remote starter still crank ? or still seeing 12V on starter, ignition wires ?

hhhmmmm......well, even if it wasnt reading the cars voltage right it would still start, it just wouldnt stay running, as voltage monitoring is just to monitor that the vehicle is running.

i have another question, you never stated what vehicle you are installing this into. ???

actually, even if there is no factory security or keyless, if you have a gray key that van still uses a factory anti-theft system and it has to be bypassed before you can remote start. is your key black?
