I tried searching the site for a wiring diagram for my truck but have had no luck. All I can find is 1500 models. I want to install a Ready Remote model 24927 on my 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel ext. cab. If any one has diagrams they could post it would be a big help. Thanks.

Thank you for the information. Yes it is a remote start unit but it also has keyless entry and alarm. Also i was looking through some posts and saw some people saying that when they hook up there wait to start or glow plug wire to the remote start unit it will throw a code causing your check engine light to come on. Has anyone had any experience with this.

Is the unit programmable for a diesel? If so you can usually set it to diesel and some have choices of times to delay the start. 10 20 or 30 seconds. Depending on how far North you are, you choose the appropriate time. I will get you door lock and alarm info this evening.

Yes it is programable, I will use that over hooking it up to the glow plug wire.

just installed a readyremote remote start w/keyless entry and alarm on my 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Diesel. The keyless entry and alarm features work but the remote start is not. When I press the button on the fob the truck flashes its lights, honks its horn, and the accessories flash on and off in the cab like it is going to start but then nothing happens. If this has happened to anyone else what are some things I could look for. All my connections are soldered my fuses are good. When I check the voltage on my starter “yellow” wire I am not reading anything during the remote start. I also checked my brake and hood switch. Any ideas would help.

Yes the yellow wire is the 12 volt output to the starter. And i am using the directed 1700G combo unit.

Thanks for the help guys i got it working. I called DEI tech support and they had me open the unit on the ready remote 24927 and remove the R20 resistor. When i hooked it back up it started right up.
