i have a 2000 bmw 323i that i installed a remote start system on it, everything works perfect. it starts with remotes but there is one thing. for some strangest reason the car wouldnt start with my factory key i have to use the remote start to start it. now i did use the 556uw and i used the factory ring so i cant figur out why cant i turn my car on with my factory key?

i would appreciate any and every help! thanks

your factory key may have been erased. i cant remember if that model BMW will do that or not. it can somtimes happen if 2 keys are seen at the same time. pm Howie and ask him, he'll know for sure.

You need to get the key checked by a dealer, but 2 questions..... did you use the GREY VALET key in the 556 and did you wire it Euro fashion as explained in the instructions or did you use the antenna ring. Use another key rather than the valet and this key will talk to the management overpowering the transponder. If you rang the ring from the 556 over your key barrel you are inviting the same problem, you MUST wire it as Euro, no antenna loop and join to the transponder wires, it doesn't matter which one you cut and which one you join to. Bugger me I've done three this week, another one tomorrow and I swore not to do any more alarms this winter. Me knees have gone, bloody low slung BMW's.
