i installed a polar start PS-7450-TW-FM not too long ago on my 1990 nissan skyline. i just installed the door lock actuator today and found out that it doesnt seem to want to work.

i tested out the wires leading to the actuator with a DMM and it rests at 0V, and when i press lock and unlock, it goes to +12V and -12V, so it is getting the correct power to the actuator as far as i can see, yet it still does not want to operate at all.

is there anything else i can try to do before i take it in for repairs, or possibly try another actuator? since this is a brand new actuator, i cant see it being the problem, but i am kinda uncertain about it because the DMM readings were pretty much right for a 2 wire actuator.

How did you wire up the relays for the actuator ? It should be like this :

got the locks to work finally. turns out the actuator was defective
