I have this alarm remote start combo installed into a 2004 cavalier. All the sudden one day the system stoped working. The remote still sends out a signal but the alarm system never gets it, and the remote sounds the out of range signal. The status led in the car stays solid red. Is there any way i can fix this or is the main unit fried? Is there any fuses anywhere that could have possibly blown? Thanks in advance..

When you got the alarm installed, did they show you or tell you about a Valet Switch?

OK just tried this led status light does switch from solid to off, when the valet is off there is still no signal being transmitted either way from or to the car. It is functioning as if the transmitter is not programmed for the vehicle or the vehicle is totally out of range.

remove the battery from the transmitter, then unplug the antenna from the unit for about 30 seconds if you know where its at. then plug the antenna back in and reinstall the battery in the transmitter.

This worked perferctly! With winter here it really saved me alot of trouble! thanks alot!
