Thanks

you are going to do this the old fashioned way, DMM and test. You wil probably better off using a CAN type unit and possibly a 556U

Audiovox (techservices.audiovox.com) has accurate wiring information. I did a 2007 Jetta gas engine, and all was accurate.

The CAN-SL-2 from Fortin (ifar.ca) will give you doorlocks, trunk, hoodpin, doorpin, and tach.

You'll still need to sacrifice the valet key for the remote start.

The hardest part about this car is taking apart the steering column, then the brain box that's on the underside of the column, and then you can get to the ignition wires.

(They run straight from the ignition switch, to that box, and then turn into data or something.....you can't get them in the harness coming down the column, only inside there behind that box.)

you can grab ign and crank coming out of the black module strapped to the underside of the column.
