Hello everyone,

Just a quick question. I am putting a remote starter in my own truck (2006 Dodge Ram 1500) and picked up a bypass unit - model PKUCG2X. After looking at the company website (www.bypasskit.com), it's listing other choices also - PKUCH2X, PKUCH2GX, etc. Any model better than the other for this job, or is the one I have fine?

Thanks in advance!

Hello cgyrob

I have always used PKUCH2X. Depending on whether the main ignition was Multi-plexed or standard large gauge 12v wiring. Our shop just changed over to flash logics bypasses, but i could have sworn the PKUCG2X was for 08 and up Chryslers only. In fact i do not see it listed for an 06 ram on their site. Like i said it depends on if you have the large gauge ignition wires as to what bypass would be best suited for your application. Off the top of my head i cant recall what it is. If you are purchasing another bypass you may want to check out the Flash Logics brand. Much simpler and you get alot of added benefits too. Alot of the Chryslers have data tach signal available through the bypass. Looks like you would need an FL532. Just a thought.

It says for 04+ on their website, and the instructions that came with it list 2006 as being supported, so hopefully this is the correct one.
