Hey guys I just about got the remote starter / alarm installed. I am looking for the color code of the tach wire behind the cluster panel. I rather not go to the pcm if I can help it. Can anyone help?

Thanks guys

Tom

dunno the clusters, but you can go to a fuel injector using the odd colored wire at the injector (each injector has a common which is same at each injector, and an odd colored wire)

My suggestion would be to look on the back of the cluster for the same color wire listed for the PCM...

Suggest avoiding the instrument cluster. If it's like UK Fords (ha that's a laugh I meant German/Belgium and Spanish Fords) the instrument cluster might be a processor in itself and the tach wire might be data, DON'T TOUCH!  If on the other hand it has multiple plugs and a flexible printed circuit where you can trace back from the connections on the back of the tach, you're O.K.

Not the same wire as the pcm thats what I thought yesterday. Good try though. :)

I think I'll be going to the injector wiring.
