Hi all,

First off, thanks for reading. Any help you can provide is really appreciated.

I'm planning my first remote started install and refuse to pay the Best Buy kids for something I am capable of doing myself. Just have a few questions on hardware and my wiring information.

I'm planning to use the following:

Firstly, is the equipment listed appropriate for my vehicle? I've ordered some wiring information, pictures and diagrams, but was wondering if the installation process is very different from starter to starter. Is the information I ordered going to be enough to get me through this?

When attaching the AUX to the rear defrost....should I just run a wire from the control module all the way to the switch? Which wire on the switch does it go to?

Any tips for my first install? Anything I should try and avoid?

Any tips for the SECOND AUX?

Sorry for the length of the post, just want to get all the information I can. Thanks for reading!

I'm performing my first install on a 2002 Chrysler Sebring LX (4 Dr Sedan).

Purchased the XK531 Sentry Key Bypass Unit (one that Best Buy tech said would bypass the key immobilizer as well as anti-theft)

Compustar 2WSHLCD-AS 2 Way Starter/Alarm Paging Unit.

I've found the wiring information for the vehicle (SEE BELOW), but am confused as to whether relays are required for EVERY SINGLE CONNECTION OR NOT??

Also, do the relays need to connect to +12 V (fused to the battery) or can I use them to just bypass the ignition coil? (see attached picture).

Are relays required in similar setup for the other connections?

I just have a couple of questions. Installing a compustar remote starter into 2002 Sebring Sedan.

My remote start unit has - outputs for lock/unlock. I need to use resistors and relays for it to function properly. No big deal really. The bypass unit has lock/unlock INPUTS.

Do I need to send the lock/unlock signal into the bypass BEFORE or AFTER the resistors?

Do I hook up the remote start unit to the lock/unlock wire, or just to the bypass?

ALSO --> My remote start has 1 ignition output, my vehicle has 2 ignitions. Can I use the one, high current, output to trigger a relay to supply power from batter to second ignition???

what bypass are you using? If its a quality one a la Idatalink you font have to do much since its all data. Post the brand and model of your bypass

no resistors needed when using the bypass

What about the factory disarm function?

Should I hook this up through the remote start unit (using the resistor), or is this taken care of by the Ground While Running wire going to the bypass unit?
